Luke Beckstrand writes clean fantasy and science fiction for all audiences. He has over 18 works published on Amazon, including Obscurum: The Dark City (YA coming of age fantasy) and the Shadehunter trilogy (adult fantasy heist). His upcoming series, Axion, releases its opening novel on Sept 8 (sci-fi, adventure romance). Beckstrand specializes in authentic characters, explosive magic systems, and clean content (no vulgarity or explicit sexual content). Beckstrand is an avid swordsman (HEMA, boffer fighting, fencing, you name it) and enjoys incorporating his sword fighting experience into is books. He also studied linguistics for both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Brigham Young University. His passion for languages and fiction novels drove him to independently research and write two papers on conlangs (constructed languages) and their potential in fantasy and science fiction (these essays can be found on the Other Writing page of this website). Beckstrand has been a panelist at the writing conference LTUE (Life, the Universe, and Everything) discussing conlangs as well, and was even hired to write a conlang for an alien race in a feature film. Beckstrand is a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and while writing is his passion, his family and friends are what is most important to him.
